Soft Thick Crust Vegan Pizza Dough
Pizza is everyone’s favourite meal, who could argue about that! I have say that I’ve enjoyed pizza more now as vegan than I ever did before. I can make my pizza exactly how I want it and not worry about waiting for the delivery man. I have always been a thick crust type of girl,also now like to season my dough so the crust is just as flavourful as the topping on it !
This recipe is super fast, you will have home made healthy pizza on your table before you know it.
Great for days when you want to clean out your fridge of all last weeks veggies
2 1/2 Cups All purpose Flour (Sub Gluten Free Flour)
1 Cup Warm Water
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Packet of Rapid Active Yeast or 2 tblsp.
2 Tblsp. Olive Oil
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 Tsp Nutritional Yeast
Start with a large mixing bowl and add all dry ingredients, then warm water and oil. Mix dough with a large wooden spoon, once formed start kneading dough until it becomes a cohesive ball. Oil bowl lightly with olive oil and place dough inside bowl let rest for 20 minutes.
Once dough has risen scoop out of bowl and onto non stick baking sheet. Stretch dough gently until it covers entire baking sheet.
Once your dough is spread out on the baking sheet, the rest is up to you! Top with Tomato sauce or Pesto, loads of veggies and Vegan Cheese of course.
Bake Pizza for 20 mins at 375 degrees until cheese has melted and veggies have withered slightly.
